Karen Gutierrez

GR Ventures was founded by Karen Gutierrez, an electrical and systems engineer with a background in large-scale infrastructure and mission-critical environments. After years of working in industries where precision, accountability, and process are non negotiable, Karen saw a clear gap in residential and light commercial construction: too much guesswork, too little transparency.

She started GR Ventures to apply an engineering mindset to hands-on work: clear scopes, honest pricing, structured execution, and results that hold up over time. As a woman-led company, GR Ventures challenges outdated norms in the trades while proving that leadership, technical skill, and craftsmanship go hand in hand.

Karen remains closely involved in project planning, quality control, and the systems that power the business ensuring every job reflects the standards the company was built on.

Joanna Rivera

Joanna is a cybersecurity and legal professional with experience operating at the intersection of technology, risk management, and compliance. Her background spans protecting critical systems, managing data security, and navigating regulatory and contractual frameworks skills that are increasingly essential in a modern construction and services business.

At GR Ventures, she leads security, compliance, and governance efforts, ensuring that client data, internal systems, and business operations are handled with care, integrity, and foresight. From contracts and policies to the technology platforms supporting the company, her role helps future-proof GR Ventures as it expands beyond traditional construction.
